Ingredients
- 1 box lasagna sheets
- Mozzarella cheese
- Bolognese sauce:
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- Vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed or chopped
- Finely ground minced meat
- Fresh or canned mushrooms
- Spices to taste
- Tomato paste
- 4 tomatoes, pureed with 1/2 cup water
- Béchamel sauce:
- 50 grams butter
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 liter milk
- Salt
- Black pepper
- White pepper
- A pinch of nutmeg

Method
- Begin by preparing the two sauces, then start assembling the layers.
- Fry the chopped onion in a little oil, add the garlic and sauté until soft.
- Add the minced meat and stir.
- When the meat changes color, add the chopped mushrooms and stir.
- Sprinkle the spices and add the tomato paste and the tomatoes pureed in the blender, and stir.
- When it boils, leave the sauce to simmer over low heat until ready.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over the heat.
- Once melted, add the flour and stir quickly — it's best to use a hand whisk.
- Gradually add the milk while stirring continuously so the flour doesn't clump.
- Add the salt and spices and stir.
- Let the béchamel simmer over low to medium heat until it thickens, stirring from time to time.
- In a large glass or Pyrex dish, first arrange a layer of lasagna sheets.
- Add a layer of Bolognese, then lasagna sheets, then a layer of béchamel, then lasagna sheets... continue until finished, ensuring the final layer is béchamel on top.
- Place the Pyrex in the oven for about half an hour or until the lasagna is cooked.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top and return the Pyrex to the oven; turn on the top heat until the cheese melts and browns slightly.
- Let the lasagna rest for a few minutes to settle before cutting and serving.
