Crispy treats ready in five minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp corn oil
  • 1 tsp rose water
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • about 140 g flour
  • 1 cup oil for frying

Method

  1. Mix the ingredients together and knead into a dough.
  2. Roll the dough thin and cut into long strips.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the dough strips until golden.
  4. Fry until evenly browned.
  5. Drain the crispy treats on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  6. Serve once they have cooled slightly to room temperature. Dust with powdered sugar or serve with chocolate syrup or melted chocolate for dipping.
  7. Note: You can add cinnamon, cocoa or any preferred flavor to the dough.
