Recipe story
Coconut macaroons are one of the easiest sweets to make, and they’re definitely tastier homemade because we get to enjoy them fresh, with guaranteed cleanliness and quality, especially since eggs are used in the recipe.
Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded coconut
- 1 cup fine sugar
- 3 egg whites
- A pinch of baking powder
- A pinch of vanilla
Method
- Beat the egg whites with the rest of the ingredients by hand.
- Grease a baking tray with a little oil.
- Wet your hands with water, shape the cookies, and arrange them on the tray, leaving a little space between them because they will expand in the oven as they bake.
- Place the tray on the middle rack of the oven and bake for a few minutes, top and bottom, at 200°C.
- When the cookies are golden on both sides, remove them from the oven.
- Let them cool to room temperature before serving.
