Custard-filled Tart
A very special tart with custard filling. The recipe is easy, uses readily available ingredients, and we recommend trying it. Bon appetit in advance.
Custard filling ingredients:
3 tablespoons custard powder
2 cups liquid milk
4 tablespoons sugar
Custard filling prep:
Mix the custard with a quarter cup of milk in a small bowl.
Transfer the mixture to a saucepan over heat, add the sugar and the remaining milk, and stir well until the sugar dissolves.
Continue stirring until the mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat. Let it cool slightly then refrigerate until using as tart filling.

- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup milk (or more as needed for the dough)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 250 g butter, room temperature

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place flour, sugar, cornstarch, butter, and vanilla in a deep bowl and mix until a smooth dough forms.
- Gradually add milk to help the dough come together.
- Place the dough into tart pans, then prick with a fork to prevent puffing; add some chickpeas or other beans on top to prevent puffing, and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C until the crust browns on the bottom.
- When the tart crust is completely cooled, spread the custard filling on top and decorate with fresh fruit as available or desired.
