  • 1 kilogram calamari
  • 2 large red peppers
  • 1 green pepper
  • 1 yellow pepper
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 large onion, cut into wedges
  • 1/4 cup mixture of vegetable oil and sesame oil

Method

  1. Bring enough water to a boil in a pot and drop the calamari pieces into it and cover the pot.... continue boiling until the calamari become tender to the touch...
  2. You can add some boiling water if necessary.
  3. Cut all the peppers and the onion into julienne strips (i.e., wedges). Remove the calamari from the water, place them in a colander to drain, and also cut them into strips...
  4. Heat the oil in a skillet over the stove and add all the peppers with the onion... stir the vegetables for a few minutes, about 5 minutes, then add the calamari and fry them with the vegetables for another 5 minutes..
  5. Add the soy sauce and toss; you may add a little salt, keeping in mind the saltiness of the soy sauce
  6. Turn off the heat and serve the fried calamari with the vegetables and soy sauce as a luxurious hot appetizer.
