Corn Flakes dessert... an easy, inventive dessert you must try
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or 55 g
- 3 1/2 cups mini marshmallows, chopped small, 200 g
- 3 1/2 cups Corn Flakes
- For garnish:
- Chocolate sauce or syrup
- Caramel sauce or syrup
Method
- Prepare a double boiler by placing a pot of water over heat until it boils, then set a bowl on top of the pot without letting it touch the water and lower the heat. Put the butter in the bowl on top of the pot
- When the butter melts... add the small marshmallow pieces and keep stirring until they melt... You can even turn off the heat before they melt completely and keep stirring so the pieces melt from the residual heat
- Add the Corn Flakes and stir well until all the ingredients are combined. It is easier to stir if you use a spoon lightly coated with oil
- Grease a 20 cm x 20 cm pan with oil and pour the mixture into it
- Oil your hands and press the mixture so it spreads evenly
- Leave the dessert to cool at room temperature, and you can place it in the fridge for a while
- Once it has cooled, decorate it with caramel or chocolate syrup, or as desired, then cut and serve. The garnish can also be omitted
