Ingredients

  • 4 cups sifted flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon active dry yeast
  • A pinch of salt
  • 3 tablespoons (or 40 g) melted butter
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • Filling:
  • 4 apples, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter at room temperature

Method

  1. Mix the yeast with the sugar to begin preparing the dough in the first stage.
  2. When the yeast activates, add the butter and milk and mix; then add the remaining ingredients and flour and knead until the dough is soft.
  3. Let it rest briefly, then roll it out into a slightly thin rectangle.
  4. Mix the filling ingredients and spread them over the dough, then roll it up into a log.
  5. Cut the roll into medium-thickness circles and place the pieces on a baking sheet in a tray, or spray the tray with butter spray.
  6. Put the tray in the oven at medium heat in the center for 20 minutes or until the dough is cooked through.

  7. Also brown the apple cinnamon roll pieces on top.
  8. Serve them immediately while hot with caramel sauce, white sugar sauce, or ice cream
