  • 6 tablespoons custard powder
  • 6 cups water
  • 6 tablespoons powdered milk
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee powder (Nescafé)
  • 1 packet plain biscuits

Method

  1. Dissolve the custard powder, powdered milk and sugar in the water, then pour half the mixture into another pot and add the cocoa and instant coffee; add more sugar if the cocoa is bitter to taste.
  2. Place both pots over medium heat until the custards thicken and reach a thick consistency.
  3. Arrange the biscuits in the bottom of the serving tray, then add a portion of the chocolate custard. Arrange another layer of biscuits, then add a layer of plain custard, then another layer of biscuits, and finally the second portion of chocolate custard.
  4. Place the custard tray in the refrigerator once it cools, and leave it for at least two hours.
