Chocolate chip cookies with ganache — a wonderful recipe that chocolate lovers will enjoy
Ingredients
- 2 cups (or 250 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/3 cup + 2 tbsp brown sugar (about 80 g)
- or

- 1/2 cup cold butter, chopped + 5 tablespoons (or 150 g)

- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt

- 100 g dark chocolate
- 100 g liquid (heavy) cream

Method
- In a food processor or blender, place the flour, sugar, and chopped butter. Pulse/process until combined.
- Add the egg yolks and vanilla and continue processing until incorporated.
- When a dough forms, transfer it to a bowl, add the chocolate chips, and knead by hand until evenly distributed.
- Roll the dough lightly, wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.Timers: 30 min
- After 30 minutes, roll or press the dough to about 2 cm thick, then cut out cookies with a cookie cutter.Timers: 30 min
- Also cut a small circle out of the center of some cookies to create a cavity for the ganache. Make sure the bottom stays intact so the ganache fills from the top only.
- Place the chocolate chip cookies in a preheated oven at 180°C and bake for about 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Meanwhile, prepare the ganache: place the dark chocolate and cream in the microwave and heat briefly in short bursts totaling about 1 minute. Let rest about 5 minutes, then stir until smooth and leave at room temperature.Timers: 1 min, 5 min
- When the cookies are done baking, spoon the ganache into the center cavities.
- Serve the chocolate chip cookies with ganache once they have cooled.
