Homemade Chocobar ice cream or ice cream bars made without eggs or cream! Follow the step-by-step method to make the most delicious chocolate ice cream your kids will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • Three-quarters cup water
  • One-third cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • Half a teaspoon liquid vanilla
  • Chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon peanuts , crushed, or any kind of nuts

Method

  1. In a saucepan over the heat, add the water and powdered milk and stir until the milk dissolves and comes to a boil.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk over the milk mixture and stir for several minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the 3 tablespoons of water, then slowly pour it into the mixture while continuing to stir until it thickens.
  4. Pour the mixture into a pouring jug and add the vanilla, then stir.
  5. Pour the mixture into ice cream molds or silicone cake molds.
  6. Cover the milk ice cream with aluminum foil, make small holes with a knife, and insert the small wooden sticks halfway in the center.
  7. Freeze the chocolate ice cream overnight or for 6 hours.

  8. In a saucepan over the heat, add water and let it boil.
  9. Then in a smaller bowl, add the chocolate chips. Place the small bowl over the saucepan of water and melt the chocolate over a bain-marie.
  10. Put half the chocolate into a cup to make coating easier, then dip the ice cream bar into it.
  11. Put the remaining melted chocolate in another cup, add the peanuts, and stir.
  12. Repeat the process and return them to the freezer until serving.
