Ingredients

  • Chicken
  • An onion for boiling the chicken
  • Seasonings for boiling the chicken
  • Potatoes, cut into rounds
  • The sauce:
  • 5 garlic cloves, mashed
  • Half a cup lemon juice, or to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Half a cup of the chicken cooking broth
  • For browning the top:
  • Yogurt
  • Salt
  • Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Method

  1. Boil the chicken with a chopped onion, and skim off the foam as it appears. Then add the seasonings and let it cook through.
  2. Fry the potato rounds in plenty of oil, then remove them from the oil and drain them.
  3. In an oven tray, place the potatoes and the chicken on top, then prepare the sauce by mixing all its ingredients.
  4. Pour the sauce over the chicken and potatoes, then place the tray in a preheated oven at 220°C, turning on both the top and bottom heat.
  5. In the final stage, brush the chicken with the yogurt, paprika, and oil mixture, and brown it well for about half an hour, or as needed.
