Cauliflower with tahini... Many who love cauliflower prefer this way of serving it — tahini is especially delicious with cauliflower.
Ingredients
- Cauliflower (or "zahra")
- 1 onion, cut into wedges
- Sauce:
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 cup water
Method
- Cut the cauliflower into florets, wash and drain them. Sprinkle lightly with salt and fry in plenty of hot oil.
- Remove from the oil when cooked or browned, drain briefly and place in a baking pan.
- Prepare the sauce: whisk the tahini with the salt, lemon juice, water and garlic until the tahini sauce is smooth and combined.
- Pour the sauce over the cauliflower in the pan. Quickly fry the onion wedges until they soften, then add them on top of the cauliflower as well.
- Let the pan simmer on the stove for about 7 minutes.Timers: 7 min
- Serve the cauliflower with tahini immediately. It can be served with rice or eaten with bread, and it can also be served cold.
