- ¼ kilo shredded kataifi (kunafa)
- 1½ cups pistachios
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons orange blossom water
- 1 cup ghee and oil mixture
- Thick syrup
- 3 cups sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- A small drop of orange food coloring

Method
- Mix the pistachios with the orange blossom water and sugar....
- Spread out the kataifi and fill the gaps so it becomes compact... sprinkle the kataifi with oil first, then place a layer of pistachios on top.
- Roll the kataifi into a tilted cylinder.... leave it supported in any way or wrap it tightly in kitchen plastic so it doesn't unravel later when cut. Leave it like this for an hour to dry.
- Heat the ghee-and-oil mixture until hot, place the berma baklava in the oil, and fry over very low heat until browned on all sides. Remove from the oil and place on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil, then pour warm syrup over them.... when the syrup cools and sets on them, cut.
- Cut the berma baklava into medium-sized rounds.
