Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 3 eggs with a pinch of vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons milk powder
  • 1 teaspoon anise seeds
  • 1 tablespoon nigella seeds (black seed)
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 medium tablespoon baking powder
  • Toasted sesame seeds

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Beat the eggs with the vanilla...
  2. Add the sugar and continue beating...
  3. Add the vegetable oil and keep beating as well...
  4. Add the milk powder, then the nigella seeds and anise seeds...
  5. Add the flour and baking powder alternately...
  6. Knead well until you get a cohesive dough
  7. You may need to add a little more flour if needed so that you end up with a firm but soft dough
  8. At this stage, it may be easier to knead the mixture by hand... you can also use an electric mixer if available.
  9. Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds
  10. Shape the dough as desired
  11. You can shape it into interlocking circles or simple circles...
  12. Place the cookie tray on an oven tray lightly greased with a little oil and place it in
  13. 12 minutes in a preheated oven from the top and bottom
    Timers: 12 min
  14. We hope you like it and share it with those you love
