Method
- Cut the bread and arrange it in a baking pan; place the pan in a preheated oven until the bread is well browned. Meanwhile, prepare the syrup: 2 cups sugar and 1 cup water; when it boils add the juice of a lemon and a drop of orange blossom water.
- When the bread is well browned, place it into the syrup over the stove and cook over low heat, stirring continuously until the bread and syrup form a cohesive paste. Then turn off the heat and pour the mixture into the serving dish.
- Prepare the cream separately: 4 cups liquid milk, 1/2 cup fine semolina, 1/2 cup flour, and a drop of orange blossom water.
- Bring the cream mixture to a boil on the stove, and when the cream sets, pour it over the bread. Garnish Aish el Saraya as desired.
