  • One tablespoon cornstarch
  • Two tablespoons sugar
  • One cup liquid milk
  • Orange mixture
  • One cup strained orange juice
  • Orange slices for garnish

Method

  1. We start by making the milk muhallabia by mixing the sugar with the liquid milk and cornstarch until the sugar and starch dissolve in the milk, then we place the mixture in a saucepan over medium heat
  2. Stir constantly until the mixture boils and thickens
  3. Divide the milk muhallabia evenly among the serving cups, filling them halfway
  4. Place the cups in the freezer for just a few minutes until the mixture inside cools
  5. In another saucepan, dissolve the cornstarch and sugar in the orange juice and place the saucepan over medium heat, stirring as well until the mixture thickens
  6. Pour the orange mixture over the milk muhallabia in the cups until full
  7. Leave the cups in the refrigerator for two to three hours
  8. Garnish the orange muhallabia with orange slices and serve cold
