Almond dragees coated in melted chocolate and powdered sugar in an easy homemade recipe. Who doesn't love an almond covered in chocolate? You can make it at home with ease, enjoy it, and serve it to your guests.
Ingredients
- 250 g raw almonds with skins
- Half the almonds in chocolate, i.e. one 125 g chocolate bar
- Half a tablespoon nutmeg
- Three quarters of a tablespoon ground ginger
- Powdered sugar
Method
- In a skillet over low heat, stir the almonds until they are lightly toasted. As soon as their aroma starts to come out, remove them from the skillet
- Melt the chocolate bar over a bain-marie: put water in a pot over the heat, and when it boils, place the chocolate bar in a bowl over the pot and let it melt from the heat of the steam rising from the boiling water
- When the chocolate has melted, stirring constantly, add the nutmeg and ginger and mix well
- Put the almonds into the melted, flavored chocolate to coat them, then lift them out one by one with a fork, draining as much chocolate as possible
- Put the almonds one by one into a container filled with powdered sugar
- Close the container and shake well until the almonds are coated with the chocolate and the sugar as well
- Lift the almond dragees out one by one and place them in an airtight container suitable for serving
