Date Maamoul with Flour and Butter
Date maamoul, or date cookies, is one of those tried-and-true homemade recipes that is wonderfully delicious. This version is made with flour.

- 5 and a half cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 200 g butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup oil
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Filling:
- Date paste mixed with 1 tablespoon butter

Method
- Blend the butter and oil in a mixer until the mixture becomes homogeneous and creamy.
- Add the sugar, eggs, and vanilla and mix until combined, then add the milk, baking powder, and flour and continue mixing until you have a cohesive, shapeable dough. Take a piece of dough, place a ball of date paste inside, roll it into a ball, place it on the maamoul mold and press gently to take the mold's shape.
- Arrange the date maamoul balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 150°C (or according to your oven) for 10 to 12 minutes or until the maamoul turn golden. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool well before serving.Timers: 12 min
