Ingredients

  • The dough:
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 cups flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tbsp powdered milk
  • 1/2 cup oil

Method

  1. Mix these ingredients well with a spoon and let rest for about 10 minutes.
    Timers: 10 min
  2. Let the dough rest for a little longer, then start working with it.
  3. Roll out the dough
  4. Cut it into thin circles
  5. Place a piece of cream cheese inside each one
  6. Add one pitted olive

  10. Mix 2 tbsp thyme with 3 tbsp olive oil. You will get a thyme-and-oil mixture. Roll out the remaining dough and cut it into circles. Place a little of the thyme mixture in each circle and close it into a ball. Arrange the balls in the second pan greased with a little vegetable oil.
  11. Bake both pans in a preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the beehive bread is cooked through and lightly browned on top.
    Timers: 15 min
  12. Sprinkle sesame seeds and nigella seeds over both pans, and place the small beehive over the large one on a serving plate. Decorate the beehive cake as desired.
  13. After the required time has passed, add:
