- 3 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1/2 cup water

- Mix the eggs with the sugar, oil, baking powder and powdered milk.
- Add the water and stir to obtain a homogeneous but soft and not stiff batter.
- Divide the Mabroosha cake batter into two parts; spread the first part in the cake or baking pan.
- Place the pan in the oven until the first layer is cooked; when it turns pale golden, remove it from the oven and spread a layer of jam of any available type or to taste.
- Add a little flour to the second part of the batter we set aside, then grate this portion of the dough over the jam layer to create the 'mabroosha' topping.
- Place the Mabroosha cake pan with the jam in a preheated oven at 180°C until it turns golden; when it cools, cut as desired and serve.
