Lemon Orange Cake... who doesn't love it! Enjoy it with tea — it's truly delicious.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • a pinch of vanilla
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon and orange zest
  • 1 1/2 cups orange juice
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour + 1 tablespoon orange zest

Method

  1. Whisk the eggs with the vanilla well, then add the sugar and continue whisking until the mixture is pale and the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Add the yogurt and continue whisking, then add the oil and whisk, then add the orange juice and orange zest and whisk.
  3. In another bowl, sift the flour and mix it with 1 tablespoon orange zest and the baking powder, then add this mixture to the egg mixture and fold gently or stir with a spoon from top to bottom.
  4. Grease the cake pan with butter and dust it with flour, pour the lemon-orange cake batter into it, and place it on the oven rack in a preheated oven at medium temperature for 25 minutes or according to your oven.

  5. Let it cool at room temperature before serving.
