Chocolate cake, economical, without butter or oil and without eggs too... so it is economical and light as well :)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup yogurt, at room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 cup water, at room temperature
  • Note: You can use 1/2 cup liquid milk instead of the milk powder and water

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine the yogurt and sugar and whisk with a hand whisk until the sugar dissolves well
  2. Sift the flour, milk powder, cocoa, baking powder, and baking soda, then add them to the yogurt mixture and whisk together
  3. Add the water and whisk until the ingredients are well combined
  4. In a pot on the stove, place a metal heatproof base at the bottom, cover the pot, and let it sit for 15 minutes over low heat
    Timers: 15 min
  5. Pour the cake batter into a cake pan greased with oil and dusted with flour, or greased with tahini ..
  6. Place the pan inside the pot on the metal base and cover the pot .. and if the lid has holes, place a thin clean towel under the lid, then cover the pot
  7. Lower the heat under the pot and leave it for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes until the cake is baked
    Timers: 60 min, 15 min
  8. Test the cake with a thin wooden skewer and remove it from the heat when it is done
  9. Turn the cake out onto a serving plate and let it cool to room temperature
  10. Note: The pan can be placed in the oven at 180°C for about 35 to 45 minutes
