  • 1 1/2 cups oats
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup fresh orange-lemon juice
  • 4 eggs, at room temperature
  • 1 small teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 small teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 small teaspoon baking soda
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 2 apples, peeled and cut into medium-thick slices or wedges
  • 3 tablespoons caramelized sugar

Method

  1. Beat the eggs with the vanilla, sugar, and lemon zest until you get a white, creamy mixture
  2. Add the juice, oil, and oats, and stir with a wooden spoon
  3. Add the flour, baking powder, and baking soda after sifting them together, then mix
  4. Finally, add the raisins and mix
  5. Put 3 tablespoons of sugar in a pan over low heat until it caramelizes, then pour the caramel into a cake pan greased with oil or tahini
  6. Arrange the apple slices over the caramel, then pour in the cake batter
  7. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C on the middle rack for 45 to 50 minutes, or according to your oven's strength

  8. Let the cake cool to room temperature, then invert it onto a serving plate
