Easy orange cake — very tasty and one of the most popular dry-style cakes. It also has a beautiful color.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- pinch of salt
- grated orange zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method
- Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla well until you obtain a uniform, pale mixture
- Add about 1 tablespoon orange zest with the vegetable oil and orange juice and beat
- Sift the flour with the baking powder into a bowl on the side, then add to the mixture
- Mix the ingredients well with a large spoon by folding from bottom to top rather than stirring in a circular motion, until you have a smooth, thick batter
- Grease the pan with a little butter and a dusting of flour, or line the bottom with parchment paper
- Pour the orange cake batter into the pan and place it in a preheated oven at 180°C for half an hour
- Or longer, depending on your oven
- Serve the orange cake when it has completely cooled to room temperature; invert it onto a wide serving plate and serve.
