- 2 eggs with vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup orange juice
- Zest of 3 oranges
Method
- Start by beating the eggs with the vanilla...
- Add the sugar and keep beating, then add the oil...
- Beat the mixture for several minutes until the sugar dissolves, then begin adding the flour and baking powder and continue beating.
- Add the juice and orange zest and beat until the ingredients are well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a cake pan suitable for the oven and place the pan in a preheated oven.
- Leave the cake in the oven without opening it at all for about 40 minutes, or until you see that it has risen and is cooked through. Insert a wooden skewer to make sure the cake is baked from the inside. Remove it from the oven and leave it on a cool surface for a little while until it settles and cools slightly before transferring it to a serving plate. It can be decorated however we like or with whatever we have on hand. Here, we decorated the orange cake with a dusting of powdered sugar and a few lines of chocolate sauce.Timers: 40 min
