Cold Mocha Cake

A creamy cold mocha cake—easy to make and incredibly delicious. It requires little active time but must chill several hours in the fridge before serving for the best texture and flavor.

Cold mocha cake... a dessert beyond dreams

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup powdered milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 packets caramel custard powder
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon instant coffee (Nescafé)
  • 1 large can of cream (qeemar)
  • Middle Layer
  • Plain biscuits (cookies)

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Put all ingredients in a pot and whisk well with an electric whisk until everything dissolves and combines.
  2. Place over the heat, stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
  3. Pour half the mixture into a silicone mold or cake pan, then place a layer of biscuits dipped briefly in milk, and pour the remaining mocha mixture over them.
  4. Let the cake cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least four hours.
  5. When serving, invert the cold mocha cake onto a serving plate and decorate as desired.
