Easy 7-Up Cake

7-Up cake with a very easy homemade recipe... Who loves cake for an afternoon snack? If you're one of them, then this is the perfect cake for you.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 and 1/2 cups flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 and 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 small teaspoon vanilla
- 1 small teaspoon baking powder
- Lemon zest
- 1 cup 7-Up
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- Note: Chocolate pieces can be added to the cake just before baking.
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Beat the eggs with the vanilla and lemon zest, then add the sugar and continue beating until the mixture becomes white and creamy and the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Then add the vinegar and beat, then the 7-Up and beat, then the oil and beat.
- Finally, add the flour and baking powder in batches and fold from top to bottom so the mixture does not deflate.
- Grease the pan with tahini or oil and a dusting of flour.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and place it in a preheated oven at 180 °C on the middle rack for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 160 °C. The total baking time is about 50 minutes, or according to the strength of your oven.Timers: 15 min, 50 min
- Let the 7-Up cake cool at room temperature, then unmold it and serve.
- Note: This cake was whisked by hand with a wire whisk, not a mixer, and all ingredients should be at room temperature.
