How Do We Make a Cake with Orange Sauce?
An all-in-one orange-flavored cake with orange sauce... a wonderful cake with a lovely aroma, appearance, and taste, and best of all, its ingredients are easy to find and it doesn’t take much effort to prepare.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 5 eggs, at room temperature
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar, or to taste
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- A pinch of salt
- Orange zest
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- Note
- You can use the same quantities with any other flavor you like; just replace the cup of juice with another ingredient such as milk or Seven Up....
- You can also add nuts, fruit, chocolate, or jam as desired.
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Beat the eggs with the orange zest and vanilla until frothy.
- Add the sugar and beat until it dissolves... Add the juice and oil and mix until combined. Add the flour with a pinch of salt and the vinegar, in batches, and continue beating until all the ingredients are well mixed.
- Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured baking pan and place it in the oven at 180 degrees on the middle rack. Leave the cake for about 45 minutes, or depending on the strength of the oven.Timers: 45 min
- Orange Sauce:
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- Mix the ingredients cold, then place them over the heat and stir over low heat until the mixture thickens. You can add a little water if the mixture feels too thick...
