Milk Loaf Cake
Easy, quick and light — the kids will love it and so will you. Nothing beats homemade cake; perfect for afternoon tea!
Light milk loaf cake — simply delicious
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp liquid vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Whisk the eggs and vanilla, then add the sugar and whisk until the mixture is pale and the sugar dissolves.
- Add the oil and milk and whisk.
- Finally add the flour and baking powder after sifting them together. Add them gradually in batches and gently fold the cake batter from top to bottom.
- Pour the batter into a small loaf cake tin greased with butter and dusted with flour.
- Place the cake on the middle rack in the preheated oven at 150°C.
- Allow the milk loaf cake to cool completely before serving.
