Recipe story
Jello mold ... easier than easy
Ingredients
- Four or five different colors of Jello (two packets of each color)
- 1 cup boiling water (250 ml) for each packet of Jello
- A dash of vegetable oil
- Also from Rana's special recipes, here is the delicious Lotus ice cream
Method
- Dissolve the first color of Jello, using 1 cup of boiling water for each packet of Jello.
- Lightly grease the mold with a little vegetable oil... then pour the first color of Jello into the mold.
- Place the mold in the freezer for 15 minutes, or until the layer sets.Timers: 15 min
- Meanwhile, dissolve the second color of Jello and let it sit at room temperature until it cools slightly (we cannot pour it hot over the set layer).
- Pour the second color into the mold over the first layer and return it to the freezer to set as well... and continue like this until all the colors are used up.
- After the last layer has set, cover the mold and place it in the refrigerator for 6 hours, or until the layers are well set.Timers: 360 min
- To serve, place the mold in a bowl of boiling water and count to ten only, then invert the mold onto a serving plate.
- Note: If the mold does not release, run a knife around the edges, then invert it.
