Milk apple pie in a pan... a super tasty and practical recipe because it is made in a pan and without the hassle of the oven :)

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1 large apple or 2 medium apples
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup liquid milk (165 ml)
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (8 g)
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, or less depending on the flour type
  • apricot jam for brushing the top
  • nuts for garnish
  • Try the mini tart with ganache from Rana too

  • Also, here is fried apple crepe

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. In a 22 cm non-stick skillet, sprinkle 1½ tablespoons of sugar. You can also grease the skillet with a little butter beforehand depending on the pan.
  2. Peel the apples and cut into medium slices and arrange them in a circular pattern over the sugar so they cover the bottom of the skillet.
  3. In a bowl whisk the egg with the sugar and vanilla, then add the milk and oil while continuing to whisk, then add the baking powder and whisk, then add the flour gradually and whisk until you obtain a cake batter consistency.
  4. Pour the batter over the apples so it covers the entire surface without stirring the batter.
  5. Cover the skillet and place it over low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes until it rises, the edges brown and the top sets.
    Timers: 15 min
  6. Flip it onto a plate then return it to the skillet for about five minutes until the other side browns.
  7. Place the pie on a serving plate and brush the top with apricot jam and garnish with crushed walnuts and pistachios or any nuts of your choice.
  8. Rana Atwi
  9. Try Rana's mini ganache tart as well.
  10. Also from Rana, here are fried apple pastries.
