Recipe story

Lemonade, or iced sour lemon juice... super refreshing! What if it's made with fresh mint too!!!

This drink is very good for your health; besides refreshment and energy, it helps with digestion, as well as providing benefits for cleansing the skin and freshening the breath! Try it

Ingredients

  • 4 lemons
  • 10 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • Note:
  • You can add 1/4 cup fresh orange juice, if desired.

Method

  1. Wash the lemons well with water, then peel them and cut each into halves and remove the seeds. You can leave just one of the four unpeeled to give a more concentrated lemon flavor
  2. Put the lemon halves in the blender with the water, sugar, mint, and ice cubes, and blend well
  3. Pour the drink into serving glasses and garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves
  4. Fatima Zahwi Ghamloush
