Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Mix all the ingredients except the flour... Mix well, then add the flour and knead well for at least 10 minutes until you get a soft dough, not too firm. You can add a little milk if the dough is too stiff, as the amount of liquid depends on the type of flour.
    Timers: 10 min
  2. Let the dough rise for at least 2 hours, depending on the temperature.
    Timers: 120 min
  3. Shape the dough into balls of a suitable size for honeycomb bread, fill them as desired with chocolate, any kind of cheese, or dates, seal the balls, shape them again, and arrange them in a baking tray greased with a little oil.
  4. Let it rise again for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
    Timers: 30 min, 60 min
  5. Brush the top before baking with milk, oil, and sugar... or mix them together and pour over the top of the tray.
  6. Garnish with sesame or nigella seeds and bake the honeycomb bread in a hot oven until cooked through and the top is golden.
  7. You can add a little cold syrup on top immediately after baking.
