How to Make Ramadan Mushtah
Ramadan mushtah, or a suhoor bread, is the recipe we will definitely be trying during the blessed month! Some people have difficulty finding bakeries that sell this kind of bread in Ramadan, especially when living abroad. So we brought you the recipe :)

Ramadan mushtah... a homemade recipe we definitely need before the holy month begins :) Here are the details for making this delicious mushtah! The quantity mentioned is enough to make one mushtah only .. you can increase the amounts according to the number of mushtah breads you want to make
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon instant yeast
- 1 tablespoon butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons oil
- a pinch of mahleb, optional
- anise
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- sesame and black seed for topping
Method
- Sift the flour, add all the dry ingredients on top, and mix.
- Add the oil and butter and rub them into the mixture.
- Gradually add the warm milk and knead for at least 10 minutes to get a soft, well-combined dough that turns out successfully.Timers: 10 min
- Brush it with a little oil, cover it, and let it rest and rise for 40 minutes.Timers: 40 min
- After the time has passed, roll it out lengthwise and imprint it with our fingers, meaning press the five fingers of your hand along the length of the dough. Then brush the top with a little oil and sprinkle sesame and black seed over the surface.
- Let it rest for an additional 15 minutes before baking.Timers: 15 min
- Place the mushtah in a preheated oven at 180°C, turn on the top and bottom heat, and bake for 10 minutes or حسب قوة الفرنTimers: 10 min
- Remove the mushtah from the oven and brush the top with a little olive oil.
