Ingredients
- Chicken breast, cut into cubes or lengthwise strips
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- Pinch of ginger
- 1/4 cup oil
- Red onion
- 100 grams mushrooms
- Cheddar cheese
- Chopped lettuce
- Pickles
- Corn
- Mayonnaise
- French-style bread or other bread of your choice
Method
- Cut the chicken and marinate it in the spice mix with the soy sauce, water, and salt for 3 hours.Timers: 180 min
- After marinating, place the chicken in a skillet over medium heat and cook, stirring, until the excess liquid evaporates.
- In a second pan over the heat, add the red onion sliced into wedges with the oil and sauté until softened.
- Add the mushrooms and sauté briefly, then add the chicken and cook over medium heat until done.
- Assemble the sandwich: place a little cheese, chopped lettuce, pickles, and corn along the length of the bread — a sprinkle of each — then arrange the Francisco chicken on top and spread a little mayonnaise.
- Roll the sandwich and toast it for 2 minutes on a sandwich press, or in a skillet on the stovetop if you don’t have a press.Timers: 2 min
