- 200 g butter
- For the pudding layer:
- 1 liter milk
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 200 g cream (or liquid cream)
- 1 teaspoon mastic
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- 2 1/2 cups crushed cookies or toasted bread
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1/2 cup pistachios
- 1 cup almonds
- 1/2 cup pine nuts
Method
- Rub the crushed cookies with the butter.
- Spread half of the crumb over the bottom of the dish.
- Boil the milk with the cornstarch and sugar until the mixture thickens, then add orange blossom water, mastic, and the can of cream, then pour the mixture over the crumb.
- Cover the milk with the remaining crumb and sprinkle with walnuts, almonds, pistachios, and pine nuts.
- Drizzle the remaining butter over the nuts and bake the dish in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
