Recipe story

Plain homemade cake... nothing tastes better :) especially with a cup of tea. This plain cake is very light and suitable for kids.

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 pinch lemon zest

Method

  1. First, beat the eggs with the sugar in a blender for about 5 minutes, or until you get a white, creamy mixture.
    Timers: 5 min
  2. Add the milk, then the oil, and keep beating in between.
  3. Add the dry ingredients except the flour, then add the lemon zest and vinegar in turn until they are used up, while continuing to beat until the cake batter is well combined.
  4. When we turn off the blender... add the flour gradually and mix with a spoon from bottom to top, not in a circular motion.
  5. Grease the pan with oil and dust it with flour, then pour the plain homemade cake batter into it.
  6. Place the pan in a hot oven on the middle rack.
  7. Bake at 180 until done... do not open the oven before 30 minutes... then test it with a small wooden skewer to see whether it is done or needs more time in the oven.
    Timers: 30 min
  8. Serve the cake after it cools to room temperature.
