- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups kunafa shreds
- 1 cup pistachios
- 1 tablespoon orange blossom water
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
- First put water with sugar. When the water boils and the sugar dissolves add 1 tablespoon lemon juice.
- Add 1 1/2 cups kunafa crumbs and stir well, then add orange blossom water and 1 cup shelled pistachios until you get a soft, homogeneous dough.
- Place the madlouqa on a serving plate and top with ashta cream and nuts as desired.
