Creme Patissiere (Pastry Cream)
Creme patissiere is one of the most famous fresh creams used in most types of desserts. Try pastry cream especially with tarts and French cakes.
Ingredients

- 3 egg yolks
- 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon custard powder
- 3 cups milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place all ingredients except the butter over low heat until the cream reaches the desired thickness. Add the tablespoon of butter at this stage and remove from the heat.
- Set the creme patissiere aside until ready to use, then whip it with an electric mixer.
