Easy Homemade Pizza

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • Topping
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • Mushrooms
  • Green bell pepper
  • Ripe peeled tomatoes
  • Tablespoon tomato paste
  • Pinch thyme
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Mozzarella cheese

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Dissolve the yeast and sugar in two tablespoons of warm water. Let it proof. Add this mixture to the rest of the dough ingredients and knead well by hand or with an electric mixer for about 10 minutes.

  2. Let the dough rise for at least one hour.
  3. For the filling: chopped onion, sliced mushrooms, green bell pepper, peeled and chopped tomatoes, tablespoon of tomato paste, a pinch of thyme, salt, and black pepper.
  4. When the dough has risen, roll it out on a baking sheet and let it rise a bit more. Bake in the oven for a while before adding the toppings and mozzarella. Put the pizza back in the oven at a medium heat. When the dough is cooked and browned, turn the oven to broil so the cheese browns slightly.
