How to Make English Cake
A classic, old-fashioned English cake recipe! This English cake doesn't require large quantities or many ingredients, and it can be prepared in no time.

- 2 eggs
- A pinch of salt
- Lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup liquid milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup flour
Method

- Beat the eggs well with the vanilla, then add the lemon zest and salt.
- Add the sugar and oil and keep beating. Add the milk too, while continuing to mix... After a few minutes of beating, add the baking powder and flour, and mix the ingredients with a wooden spoon until you get a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into a baking tray or mold suitable for the amount and for the English cake, and bake it in a preheated oven at 150 degrees for about half an hour, or until the cake is well cooked and has risen....
