Chicken Tikka
Chicken tikka made with a very easy, delicious recipe. This chicken is served with all kinds of rice and is one of the famous dishes of Indian cuisine, known for its bold, fragrant spices. Nothing better!
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 kg chicken thighs
- Marinade
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp seven-spice blend
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp ginger powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp tikka spice blend
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil with 2 tbsp flour
- 2 dry onions (add them during cooking)
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Clean the chicken with vinegar, lemon, and water, then drain it well
- In a pan over the heat, stir the flour with the oil until the flour turns lightly golden and absorbs the oil
- Add this mixture to the chicken marinade and mix well
- Leave the chicken to marinate for at least 4 hoursTimers: 240 min
- Place the chicken pieces in a baking tray, then add 2 onions cut into wedges and 1 cup of water over the remaining marinade and add it to the tray
- Cover the tray with a sheet of parchment paper, then aluminum foil, and place it in a preheated oven heated from the bottom at 200°C
- For 1.5 hoursTimers: 300 min
- When the chicken is cooked, remove the paper and turn on the top heat to brown the chicken pieces
- Serve the chicken tikka with saffron rice or plain white rice
