Carrot Dessert
Very easy, very quick, and incredibly tasty! Carrot Dessert is a traditional sweet that doesn't take much effort and uses ingredients you likely have at home. We recommend you try it.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 kg carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
- 4 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- a vanilla bean or vanilla sugar
- a cinnamon stick
- a teaspoon of lemon juice
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Combine the sugar, water, and vanilla in a pot over heat and bring the mixture to a boil for about 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Add the lemon juice and the sliced carrots, and continue cooking until the carrots absorb most of the syrup.
- When the carrots are tender, remove from heat and set aside to cool.
- Spread it onto a wide serving dish or into small cups and garnish with nuts as desired.
