Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 4 cups or 1 liter milk
- 4 large tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 large tablespoons Nescafe
- 2 large tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Caramel
- 1 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup liquid milk
- 1 large tablespoon butter
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, cornstarch, Nescafe, sugar, and vanilla and stir while cold
- Place the saucepan over heat and continue stirring until the mixture thickens
- Pour the dessert into serving glasses, leaving some space at the top to allow room for the caramel mixture to be poured over the Nescafe mixture
- Prepare the caramel: in a pan over the heat, add the sugar and let it melt over low heat
- When it caramelizes, add the butter, then the milk gradually while stirring, because the caramel will harden again when the milk is added. Continue stirring until the caramel becomes liquid again, and it is preferable to use a wooden spoon
- Pour the caramel over the glasses and place the dessert in the refrigerator for several hours before serving
