Cocoa Tiramisu in Cups — so delicious and easy
Ingredients
- One box ladyfinger biscuits (for tiramisu)
- 1/2 litre heavy cream
- 250 g mascarpone cheese (or any cream cheese)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup cold water
- Chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder for garnish
Method
- Begin by whipping the heavy cream with the sugar by hand or with an electric mixer until it forms stiff, stable peaks.
- Fold the mascarpone into the whipped cream; fold gently rather than whipping to avoid overbeating the cream.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator
- In a deep bowl, dissolve the cocoa powder in the cold water and stir well.
- Prepare serving cups and quickly dip each ladyfinger once into the cocoa mixture — briefly, so they keep their shape.
- Arrange half a ladyfinger vertically around the inside edges of each cup.
- Continue until the edges of each cup are lined with ladyfingers.
- Fill the center of each cup up to the top with the prepared cream mixture.
- Garnish the top with a dusting of cocoa powder, chocolate shavings, or strawberry pieces if available.
- Refrigerate the cups until ready to serve.
