Recipe story

Nutella cookies or petit fours... a super easy, quick recipe to treat yourself and your guests using everyday ingredients you likely already have at home and at low cost.

Ingredients

  • Three-quarters cup Nutella
  • One egg
  • One cup all-purpose flour

Method

  1. In a bowl, add the Nutella and the egg and mix well with a wooden spoon.
  2. Add the cup of flour in two additions: add the first half and stir with the spoon, then add the second half and knead with your hands until the dough comes together.
  3. Shape the dough into small round balls.
  4. Place the balls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and score each ball with the tip of a knife.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven for 10 minutes with bottom heat, then bake 3 minutes more with top heat only so they dry nicely.
    Timers: 10 min, 3 min
  6. Allow the Nutella cookies to cool to room temperature. You can decorate them with extra Nutella when serving.
