Recipe story
Oat biscuits, also sold in the market as digestives, made with an exact recipe. We have the right recipe, and you’ll hear that satisfying crunch with every bite :) Let’s head to the kitchen.
Ingredients
- 250 g finely ground oats
- 250 g flour
- 100 g sugar
- 200 g butter
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup liquid milk (or dissolve 1 tablespoon powdered milk in 1/2 cup water)
- 2 tablespoons syrup or honey
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Method
- Beat the butter and sugar together, then add the oats, flour, baking soda, salt, and syrup, and knead lightly by hand. Add the milk and continue kneading gently until you get a soft dough that does not stick to the hands.
- Roll out the dough, or place it between two sheets of plastic wrap, to a thickness of 1 cm.
- Cut the biscuits into the desired shape and size, then prick them with a fork.
- Arrange the pieces on a baking tray and place them in a preheated oven with both top and bottom heat. Bake on the middle rack for just 10 minutes.Timers: 10 min
- Let the oat biscuits cool before serving. They can also be decorated with melted chocolate.
- Note: If your oven cannot heat from both sides at the same time, turn on the bottom heat first until the biscuits take on a light color, then turn on the top heat for just 2 minutes.Timers: 2 min
