Basbousa with Cream
Basbousa with cream is a dessert loved by everyone. This recipe is incredibly easy and quick, and we recommend trying it.
Ingredients for Basbousa dough:

3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
a can plain cream (Qamar)
1 cup coarse semolina
a pinch of vanilla
1 teaspoon orange blossom water
1 teaspoon rose water
A tiny amount of water (a splash) - as needed for the semolina
Cream filling:
2 cups water
1 cup sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup flour or cornstarch
2 tablespoons orange blossom water
To serve
Syrup (shira)

- Basbousa batter
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 can plain qimeer (clotted cream)
- 1 cup coarse semolina
- a pinch of vanilla
- 1 tsp orange blossom water
- 1 tsp rose water
- Cream for the filling
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 4 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup sugar
- (Optional) 1 can qimeer (clotted cream) and orange blossom water
- Serving
- Sugar syrup (shira)
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix all the dough ingredients together... you will get a uniform dough or batter...
- Put half the mixture into a greased ovenproof pan, then add the cream filling and then place the remaining half of the dough over it... put the pan in the center of a preheated oven at 180°C
- After removing the basbousa from the oven, pour the cold syrup over it immediately while it is still hot... let it cool well then cut it ...
