Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 packet puff pastry dough
- 1 cup soft pitted dates
- 1 cup crushed walnuts
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Cut each piece of puff pastry into four squares.
- Mix the soft crushed dates with the walnuts and set aside.
- Blend the cinnamon and sugar in a blender, then add the egg with vanilla and whisk... add this mixture to the date and walnut mixture and mix well so the filling is homogeneous.
- Place a teaspoon of the date and walnut filling inside each puff pastry square.
- Roll them up into a roll shape.
- Use a fork to make small holes in the rolls.
- Place the puff pastry rolls filled with date and walnut on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Bake the puff pastry rolls for only 10 minutes until golden and serve warm or cooled according to preference.Timers: 10 min
