Ingredients:
Dough:
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 kilo flour
1 cup warm milk
100 g melted butter
Oil for rolling out the dough
Filling:
Walnuts + cinnamon
Cold syrup for drizzling over the mtabbak after baking

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place the dry ingredients in a bowl... then add the butter and liquid milk and knead until you get a soft dough
- Let it rest for an hour, then roll it out on a surface sprinkled or brushed with oil. Use plenty of oil to stretch the dough and roll it out thin
- Cut it lengthwise and distribute the filling in a lengthwise line along one edge of each piece of dough, then roll it into a rope or thin log. Twist each rope around itself in a spiral shape
- Bake the Palestinian mtabbak in the oven until cooked through, then brown it on top as well
- Pour the cold syrup over it while it is hot, then let it cool and serve
